Co-curricular Activities

The Co-curricular activities navigate the pupils to expertise their inborn skills.To start with we have regular activity for the students of standard I to VIII at 4.00pm to 5.00pm. The activities are Yoga, NEET, Taek-won-do, Band ,Bharatham, Skating, Silambam ,Music.

Yoga

"BE FIT AND HEALTHY"
Yoga helps students inculcate strength, endurance, confidence and a great mindand body. The confidence thus attained through yoga is carried into the real world and makes the students strong compassionate.

  • In our school, yoga is taught for grade 6 to 8during extracurricular activity. The Benefits of yoga including stress relief improve concentration, and enhance flexibility, are highlighted throughout the session.

NEET

Our institution provides free NEET coaching for the students of grade 6 to 8. They are trained for time management, accuracy and problem solving methodologies. The medicine aspirers are involved in joyful learning. We give strong foundation in Biology, Physics and Chemistry

Taek Won Do

Self-defence is always a main part of education. Our student’s active participations make them stronger physically.Dindigul District Taekwondo association conducted district level Taekwondo match. Our students participated and got 40 medals and so we received overall championship shield.

"WHERE WORDS FAIL, MUSIC SPEAKS"
Music in education makes the learning process rhythmic. It helps stimulate the imagination of students.
We teach the kids from grade 1 to 8 music (Keyboard) during the extracurricular activities. It useful for the children to play the keyboard daily assembly and all the celebration days which bring grant.

Silambam

Silambam is an old Indian martial art originated in the Southern Indian State of Tamilnadu. It plays a major role in the life of girls. Silambam is a very good physical activity to be learnt. It molds the health and inner strength of the girls. The mental state of a girl is improved by silambam.

  • The students those who learn become bold in facing the day to day world. That confidence helps them focused in their life. The master trains them well and helps them achieve the best in all the compilation. This is one of the regular activities in our school.

Skating

Skating is one of our regular activities in our school. The students are well-trained by the master. The master teaches skating in step by step process. So that the students master skating properly. The students also actively participated in many competitions and secured many prizes.

St. Joseph’s has a full blown band troop with all the banal set. The troop is formed with both primary and higher secondary students. They are well trained by the master. Our well trained troop becomes the heart of all the functions. It brings properness and rhythmic environment to all the important events.

  • This troop brings disciplined and good start to all the physical education events. The developed skill is explored in Independence day, Republic day, Sports day etc. It helps the students cultivate the leadership quality and team co-ordinator in the early stage.
